Mr. Petonak has worked in the private equity and alternative investment space since 2002. His experience spans traditional energy, green energy, environmental technology, entertainment, internet technology and real estate. He has worked with over 1500 investors and transacted over $50,000,000 in total placements. He has also led his own offerings in entertainment and real estate.

He was a registered representative at Lightpath Capital, LLC., where he gained significant experience in 1031 exchanges and Delaware Statutory Trusts under the mentorship of1031 exchange expert Leslie Pappas.

Mr. Petonak joined Great Point Capital, LLC. and focuses on emerging companies, tax benefited investment, high return income vehicles and 1031 exchanges. He believes there is currently

unprecedented opportunity in high-growth emerging companies and innovation in tax benefited investments.

Mr. Petonak believes in delivering unparalleled service and listening to investor goals and needs first and making recommendations later.

Before his investment work, Mr. Petonak obtained a dual Bachelors in Science in Chemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology at the Pennsylvania State University. He did his graduate work in Biochemistry at the University of California at Los Angles. He was faculty at UCLA in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics for several years.

He works at home in Santa Monica, CA, a city he has cherished for 25 years. He enjoys swimming, the outdoors, art, theater and volunteering in community groups where he can be of service.
